adidas; Honoring Black Excellence
Spec Work
“If you live on or near one of the nearly 900 streets in the U.S. named after Martin Luther King, Jr., you’re more likely to be poor, and you’re more likely to be Black. Some might argue that your street serves more as a symbol of inequality than of progress made since King’s death.” (Chris Rock)
But there is still excellence to be honored on these streets. The people that live there have thrived against the odds. For adidas’ Honoring Black Excellence initiative, we pitched to go to MLK streets throughout the US and honor the community members that live there.
